- Margaret Jean Westby is an artist and researcher currently pursuing her PhD in Humanities at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Her PhD dissertation makes a mess of dance through feminist Science and Technology Studies (STS). She studied the intersections of dance and technology through earlier degrees in New York City (BA Marymount Manhattan College 2008) and in London, England (MA Brunel University 2010). She has created and collaborated in art performances, installations, and films throughout Canada, Europe, United Kingdom, and the United States. As a technofeminist dancer, she explores the hybridization of bodily movement and machine-based actions.
